- Step 1: Discover Scuba Diving (Optional)
Experience scuba diving before committing to certification. Some students choose to start here, while others begin directly with Open Water Diver.
- Step 2: Open Water Diver
Become a certified diver recognised around the world.
- Step 3: Advanced Open Water Diver
Expand your experience through adventure dives including navigation and deeper diving.
- Step 4: Emergency First Response
Develop CPR and first aid skills that benefit both diving and everyday life.
- Step 5: Rescue Diver
Often described as the course that transforms divers — learn how to prevent problems, recognise stress and respond confidently during diving emergencies.
- Step 6: Divemaster
Begin your professional journey. Develop leadership skills while assisting instructors and supporting certified divers.
- Step 7: Emergency First Response Instructor
Learn to teach CPR and first aid programmes — an important step towards becoming a PADI Instructor.
- Step 8: Assistant Instructor / Instructor Development Course
Develop professional teaching skills before attending the PADI Instructor Examination, with mentoring from experienced Course Directors throughout.
- Step 9: Instructor Examination (IE)
The independent PADI Instructor Examination assesses the knowledge and teaching skills developed during your Instructor Development Course.
