Wiltshire Scuba Dive Club
Keep Diving. Keep Learning. Stay Connected.
Certification cards do not go diving. People do — and they do it far more often when the air fills are sorted, somebody else has planned the day, and there are other divers going.
The Dive Club is for divers at every level: fresh out of Open Water, twenty years in, or somewhere in between and diving less than you would like. £15 a month, or £150 a year.

What The Club Is Actually For
Every diver we know has a reason they dive less than they mean to. Almost none of them is a lack of enthusiasm.
It is the cylinder that needs filling and the trip across town to do it. It is a service that is overdue. It is not having anybody free on the one weekend you are. It is a site you have not dived before and would rather not work out alone. It is having been out of the water since last September and not quite wanting to admit it.
The Club takes those reasons away one at a time. It is not a loyalty card — it is a set of practical things that make the difference between meaning to go diving and actually going.

Whoever You Are Diving As Right Now
Diving Regularly
Ten air fills a year, ten per cent off cylinder testing and off servicing labour. If you are diving most months and looking after your own kit, the membership pays for itself on the practical things alone — before you have been on a single Club dive.
Back After A Break
Life happens and diving is often the first thing to go. Pool sessions are the least intimidating way back in, and a guided Club dive means you are not the one navigating on your first dive in three years.
Newly Qualified
You have the card but maybe not the kit, the buddy or the confidence to organise a day’s diving yet. Hire equipment on Club dives, somewhere to practise, and people to go with.
Working Towards Something
Logged dives are the currency of every course past Open Water. Club dives are real dives in your logbook, and pool time is where skills stop being something you did once on a course.
Diving Solo-ish
Plenty of people dive with the same one buddy and stop when that buddy is busy. A club is the least awkward way to widen that out.
Just Want The Air Fills
That is a perfectly good reason and we will not push you into anything else. Ten fills, then ten per cent off, and you can ignore the rest until you fancy it.
A Local Diving Community
The benefits are the easy part to list. The reason members stay is the other divers.
Finding people at roughly your stage who are free on the same Saturday is genuinely the hardest part of diving in this country — harder than the cold, harder than the visibility, and it does not get much easier with experience. Everyone eventually loses a buddy to a house move, a new job or a baby.
The Club is a growing group of local divers doing exactly that: on Club dives, in the pool, and around the van at the site afterwards, which is where most of the useful conversations happen anyway. Some members are here every month; some come on two trips a year. Both are fine.
You do not need to have trained with us to join. Plenty of members qualified elsewhere and came looking for people to dive with.
Qualified. What Happens Next?
Worth saying separately, because it is the point at which most people stop.
A qualification is permission to dive. Experience is what makes you comfortable, and there is only one way to get it. The gap between passing Open Water and diving regularly is real, and it is much easier crossed with other people:
- Come to pool sessions to practise buoyancy, try equipment and stay sharp.
- Join organised Club dives where the planning is already done.
- Use our hire equipment on those dives while you work out what to buy.
- Dive with a guide until you would rather not.
- Meet people to dive with — usually the thing that matters most.
There is no schedule to keep up with and no expectation to progress at any particular rate.
Your First Year Is On Us
Complete your PADI Open Water Diver course with Wiltshire Scuba and your first twelve months of Dive Club membership are included.
We would rather not hand somebody a certification card and leave them wondering what happens next. That first year is the bridge — air fills, pool sessions, guided Club dives, equipment on those dives, and a local group of divers to get to know while you find your feet.
Third-party costs on Club trips — site admission, boat charges, travel, accommodation — are not part of the course price and remain payable as normal.
Joining
Monthly
£15 per month
12-month membership. Every Club benefit included.
Annual Best Value
£150 per year
Around 2 months cheaper than paying monthly. Every Club benefit included.
Your first paid membership also includes a Wiltshire Scuba Dive Club T-shirt.
Your Membership Card
Members receive a personalised Wiltshire Scuba card carrying your name and membership number. It is simply an identifier — your membership and any Rewards are held against your account, so the card is a convenience at the counter rather than something to worry about losing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have trained with Wiltshire Scuba to join?
No. The Club is open to any appropriately certified diver, wherever you trained.
I have been diving for years. Is this aimed at me?
Yes. Ten air fills, ten per cent off cylinder testing and ten per cent off servicing labour are worth having whatever your experience, and experienced divers lose buddies to house moves and new jobs like everyone else. Several of our members have been diving longer than we have been open.
I am newly qualified and do not own all my equipment. Can I still join?
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons the Club exists. Recreational hire equipment is included on designated Club dives, subject to availability, and equipment for pool sessions can be hired at the member rate.
Are the pool sessions really free?
Designated Club pool sessions are included for members using their own equipment, subject to available spaces. They are practice sessions rather than access to every pool booking we run, and you need the appropriate certification for whatever you are practising.
Is equipment hire free?
On designated Club dives with us, standard recreational hire equipment is included, subject to availability. For pool sessions, equipment can be hired at the member rate. Hire equipment taken away independently is charged as normal.
Are dive site entry fees included?
No. Third-party costs such as site admission, boat charges, travel and accommodation remain payable unless a particular trip says otherwise. What is included is the guiding and, on Club dives, the hire equipment.
What gas fills are included?
The ten included fills are standard compressed air. Nitrox, oxygen and specialist gas fills are charged as normal.
How do Rewards work?
Members earn Wiltshire Scuba Rewards on qualifying purchases, which build into credit against future spending. Items that are already discounted or included with your membership do not also earn Rewards. The full detail will be confirmed as the system goes live.
Can I cancel a monthly membership at any time?
Membership is a twelve-month term, and the monthly option spreads that cost rather than being a rolling month-to-month subscription. If your circumstances change, talk to us.
What happens after my complimentary Open Water year?
Nothing automatic. You can move onto a normal paid membership if the Club has been useful to you, and that first paid membership is when the Dive Club T-shirt arrives.
Do I get a membership card?
Yes. Once card issuing is running, members receive a personalised card linked to their account.
