PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre

Every one of these is checkable, and three of them carry a number you can check us by. Between them they are why we can take somebody from a first try-dive to teaching it themselves, and test the cylinder they do it on, without sending anybody anywhere else.

PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre Store 30447

A step above a 5 Star Dive Centre, and a good deal rarer. An Instructor Development Centre is approved to run the Instructor Development Course itself -- we do not just teach divers, we train the people who go on to teach them. It means we can take somebody from a first try-dive right through to teaching professionally without ever handing them to another centre, and that the instruction you get on an ordinary course comes from a team that trains instructors for a living.

PADI Youth Programs

Approval to run PADI's youth programmes -- Bubblemaker, Seal Team and the junior certifications. Teaching children is a separate approval with its own standards around supervision, depth and ratios, and it is not something every dive centre holds.

Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response covers CPR, first aid and the use of emergency oxygen. It is a requirement on the way to PADI Rescue Diver and above, and it is worth having whether or not you dive.

IDEST Test Centre D7

IDEST accredits cylinder testing in the UK, and D7 is our centre number. It means the hydrostatic testing, visual inspection and valve servicing happen here, in our own workshop, rather than your cylinder being sent away to somebody you will never speak to. It covers airgun and PCP charging cylinders as well as diving ones.

IDEST Training Centre TC021

A separate accreditation from the test centre, and a rarer one: TC021 permits us to train and examine other people's technicians -- cylinder inspection, oxygen cleaning, regulator servicing and compressor maintenance. Dive centres send their staff to us for it.
