Emma is a PADI Staff IDC Instructor based at Wiltshire Scuba in Swindon. She has been diving for around 13 years and has worked as a diving professional for 7 of those years. Emma started diving on holiday abroad and has since logged dives in the Canary Islands, Mexico, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, Portugal and Malta before deciding to become a professional instructor here in the UK.
Some of Emma’s most memorable dives include encounters with bull sharks, turtles and rays, as well as exploring the famous Zenobia wreck in Cyprus. What she enjoys most about diving is the calm, relaxed feeling of being underwater and the excitement on new divers’ faces when they surface from a dive they absolutely loved.
Emma is a PADI Staff IDC Instructor, EFR Instructor and First Aid at Work Instructor, helping new divers and future professionals build strong safety skills and confidence in the water. Away from the dive centre, Emma works as an accountant, and she has found that her PADI instructor training has directly improved her presentation, teaching and mentoring skills in the workplace as well.
At Wiltshire Scuba, Emma helps deliver friendly, supportive training for everyone from complete beginners to professional-level candidates, with a special focus on making diving feel welcoming, safe and enjoyable for all.
