Turn Your Passion for Diving into Something More
For some divers, scuba is simply a hobby. For others, it becomes a lifelong passion that naturally leads to helping others discover the underwater world.
As a PADI 5★ Instructor Development Centre, Wiltshire Scuba provides professional training built around mentoring, real-world experience and long-term development — not simply passing courses.
Professional Training Tailored to Your Experience

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to become a Divemaster first?
Yes. Divemaster is the first professional level within the PADI system and is the normal starting point for anyone wishing to become an instructor.
Can I complete Divemaster and IDC together?
Every candidate's pathway is different. We'll happily discuss the most appropriate progression based on your current qualifications and experience.
Will I gain practical teaching experience?
Yes. Our programmes place a strong emphasis on mentoring and practical experience alongside formal training.
Do I have to work in diving afterwards?
Not at all. Many PADI Professionals continue in their existing careers while teaching diving during evenings, weekends or holidays.
Can I work overseas?
PADI professional qualifications are recognised worldwide, subject to local employment, visa and membership requirements.
