The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is one of the most popular scuba specialties in the world.
By learning how to plan and dive safely with enriched air nitrox, you’ll understand how it can offer longer no-stop limits than air on many dives, making it especially useful when completing multiple dives over a weekend or while on a dive holiday.
Why Dive with Nitrox?
Enriched air contains a higher percentage of oxygen and a lower percentage of nitrogen than standard compressed air. By reducing the amount of nitrogen absorbed during many dives, nitrox can provide longer no-stop limits at certain depths when compared with diving on air.
Many divers choose nitrox because it allows them to make the most of repetitive diving, particularly on liveaboards, dive holidays and busy diving weekends.

Course Requirements
- Be at least 12 years old (Junior Enriched Air Diver available from age 12 under current PADI standards).
- Hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification).
- Complete the required participant paperwork.
No previous nitrox experience is required.
